MDO (MUTUAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION)

"Don't Donate But Come, Serve & Contribute"

About Us

Welcome to Mutual Development Organization (MDO), a non-profit organization officially founded in March 2022, but actively involved in social development activities for over a decade. Our organization is led by a group of passionate youths from diverse sectors, including Education, Agriculture, Social Entrepreneurship, Medicine, Engineering, and Law.

Mutual Development Organization (MDO) is a non-profit organization that has been actively involved in social development activities in rural parts of Tanahun and other districts of Nepal for more than a decade. Our team of young leaders, with backgrounds in education, agriculture, social entrepreneurship, medicine, engineering, and law, is committed to directly contributing to social development activities.

Many organizations rely heavily on corporate, private, and government funding and incur high administration costs in the capital city Kathmandu. However, MDO is based in rural locations and works directly with deprived communities on a day-to-day basis. Our data analysis over the past decade has shown that MDO is more efficient and effective in using funds to address critical issues, such as poverty, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and human rights. More than two-thirds of our dedicated funds have been directly oriented towards causes on the ground, compared to only one-third or less for capital-based organizations.

As a non-profit organization, MDO depends on the generosity of individuals and organizations to support our mission. We welcome donations, sponsorships, and partnerships to help us make a positive impact on society and empower marginalized communities. At Mutual Development Organization (MDO), we are committed to advancing our vision of mutual development through cooperation and coordination with local, national, and international institutions. We work tirelessly to provide support and resources to the deprived and underprivileged communities of Nepal, leveraging our partnerships to make a lasting impact on society.

Our core committee consists of 80% youth involvement with 70% female involvement.
